Looking To Build Muscle Without Weights?
It’s a question that will pop into the mind of any aspiring body builder - whether they can build muscle without lifting weights. The short answer to the question is yes but there are some things that are worth considering.
Weight take up space, they’re hard to transport around, and if they’re used incorrectly they can actually cause muscle damage.
So for the edification of my regular readers let me spell out a few basic “muscle building without using weights” tips.
- The first method is by exercising while using your body weight and secondly using resistance bands for exercising.
These types of exercises include push ups and pull ups. These are common exercise and do not require any equipment.
While you are doing push ups both your chest and arms are pushing weights and while you are doing the pull ups your whole body is used as a resistance.
You also get resistance bands which help you to exercise better. These come in the form of large rubber tubes available in different shapes and sizes and can be good alternative for the weights.
There are different varieties of resistance exercises and with subtle alterations to what you’re doing you can effectively target different muscle groups. Check out the video below for ways in which you can build a varity of muscle building techniques simply by using bodey weight and resistance.
